Protection of Personally Identifiable Information

Posted in News Articles on 06/04/2007

The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003 (FACT ACT) was created “to amend the Fair Credit Reporting Act, to prevent identity theft, improve resolution of consumer disputes, improve the accuracy of consumer records, make improvements in the use of, and consumer access to, credit information, and for other purposes.”

A large part of this act deals with the identity theft and the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). BackTrack is committed to protecting the PII of the individuals on whom consumer/investigative consumer reports are prepared. For a full outline of our privacy policy, click here.
