The EEOC released its ruling on the use of criminal records in the hiring process. Some of you may not have direct responsibility for the changes in the hiring process that may need to be made by your companies, but please pass the information to your Human Resources and/or Legal teams for review.
Please remember that this is guidance only, not a regulation; however, it could be a basis for being on the losing end of a class action suit in Federal court.
